The Barn is our newly opened private functions venue, just 1km from the iconic Matakana Village, designed for relaxed celebrations, memorable gatherings and boutique corporate events.

Expansive lawns, wraparound decks, native bush and a swing seat nestled beneath mature trees provide inviting spaces for guests to gather, unwind and enjoy the natural surroundings.

Designed for intimate gatherings for a few or larger celebrations for many, The Barn can be shaped around your guest list. We comfortably host up to 50 guests but can be flexible depending on the format of your function. We aim to ensure every celebration retains its exclusive atmosphere and personalised touch.

Furnished with a carefully curated selection of indoor and outdoor furniture and decorative items that compliment The Barn’s natural country setting.
Guests are welcome to arrange additional furniture and decorations to personalise the space, and we’re happy to discuss the best way to go about this during the planning stage.
We're well connected with local suppliers and are happy to send you recommendations or, alternatively work with your personal favourites.
A flexible setting for functions, from intimate gatherings to larger celebrations, comfortably seating up to 50 guests, with scope for more depending on the style and format of your event. The space can be styled to suit your occasion, and with boutique accommodation onsite, guests can relax without needing to travel elsewhere
Based on your number of guests, we’ll help create a parking plan to suit your needs, either onsite or at a nearby parking area.
Any vehicles parked onsite must be vacated by the end of your event.
We recommend arranging bus or shuttle transport for guests travelling locally or to and from the city, and would be happy to assist making arrangements.
Your event is supported by our dedicated Onsite Manager, available to support and trouble shoot for you on the day and work with any event planners you have appointed.
Beforehand, our team will work with you to confirm the final details and develop your run sheet, so that both you and our Onsite Manager are comfortable with the plan.
We will work with you to ensure appropriate service staff are available for your function.
