The Glasshouse

Tucked away within The View Matakana estate, this beautifully renovated, standalone retreat is ideal for couples or small groups seeking peace, privacy and understated luxury.

Nestled amongst a macadamia orchard on our environmentally conscious, off-grid property, The Glasshouse is designed to embrace the landscape, with breathtaking rural views stretching to Little Barrier Island and beyond. Inside, the light-filled open-plan living area is tastefully styled and wonderfully comfortable, with a fully equipped kitchen, dining space, two bedrooms, two modern bathrooms and a wood-burning fireplace for cooler evenings.

Each bedroom opens directly onto the wraparound deck, where an outdoor bath is the perfect place to unwind beneath the stars.

With Matakana Village just 1km away and Omaha, Mathesons Bay and Tāwharanui a short drive away, you have the best of the region on your doorstep.

    Second bedroom: King Bed which can be split into two singles on request.
